grace community church mission

The mission/vision of Grace Community Church is to glorify God by building biblical relationships with God, each other, and our neighbors so that we might reflect Christ.

UPWARD: INWARD: OUTWARD

Of all the values which have a place in the mission statement, none is more important than that of Christ-honoring relationships which result in the glory of God. From Genesis to Revelation and every place in between, there is one essential truth upon which everything

else is built, and it is the centrality of relationships. God intends for our relationships to be built on biblical truth (Ephesians 4:15). The most important relationship is our personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ (UPWARD, Ephesians 1:3-8). Because God has given us a new life, our relationships with other Christians within the local church are of paramount importance (INWARD, Romans 15:1-7). As Christ's ambassadors

we are called to reach out to our unsaved world and to build meaningful relationships as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ (OUTWARD, Mark 2:15-17).

WE BELIEVE

Grace Community Church Articles of Faith

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, are inerrant in the original writings and they are the final authority for faith and life. Scriptures teach that there is one God, existing as three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

God created the world in six days, but Adam’s sin plunged the world into sin so that all people fall short of God’s glory and are, by nature, objects of God’s wrath.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who took on human nature that He might die as a perfect and sinless sacrifice/substitute on the cross.

Salvation, the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life are given by God to all who

believe by faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone. Those who God justifies He also sanctifies thus securing salvation for His elect.

Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the grave and today intercedes for believers before the Father’s throne, having given us the Holy Spirit who indwells, fills, sanctifies and seals those who have been born again.

Christians are called by God to fellowship and serve within a local church as a community of believers while we await the “blessed hope”, the return of the Lord Jesus Christ

for His bride, the church.
